The High Country of Western NC is home to amazing trails and endless gravel ready for you to explore. We want to take the stress out of your adventure by doing the hard work and planning for you. However we also want you to help us pick where you want to ride. Explore below to learn more about some of our options.

Grandfather District- Pisgah National Forest

The Grandfather District of Pisgah National Forest offers some of North Carolinas best backcountry trail riding and endless gravel roads to explore. While there are trails for almost any level of rider understanding where to ride can be a real challenge. We can work with you to develop a guided experience that fits your wants and needs.

Pisgah is perfect for big mile days that link multiple trails. There are also plenty of options for half day trips. Not feeling the uphill rides? We can do our best to help arrange shuttles for the trip. Not feeling ready for the trails? Let us show you around on the gravel. Pisgah is also full of beautiful spots to relax by the water or enjoy a cool swim as a break during a ride or after we are finished.

Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park

Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park is a premier riding destination just 15 minutes from downtown Boone. Opened in 2011 the trails are designed to offer options that will satisfy riders from beginner to advanced. Beyond the trail offerings the park also includes skills areas such as a wooden drop area, practice jump line and a paved pump track. With its close proximity to Boone this spot is a great option for someone wanting to squeeze in some stellar riding without giving up an entire day.

Our rides at Rocky Knob typically last 2-2.5 hours and are perfect for a morning or afternoon adventure around your busy day.

Emerald Outback trails

Perched at over 5000 feet in the town of Beech Mountain the Emerald Outback trail system offers a unique riding experience unlike any other in the high country. As the highest town in the Eastern United States, Beech Mountain is a great place to escape the heat during the summer. The trails offer something for riders of all skill levels. Much like Rocky Knob in Boone this is a perfect place to get in some stellar riding without giving up the entire day.
